Party for Maddy a New Experience

This was no princess party as I painted nails for 10 twelve year old girls, what an experience. I had tons of fun but missed my princess dress.
The party was at a hotel in Calgary and the girls were having a huge sleep over so I was the icing on top of the cake (so I think).
Overall is was a great experience full of texting, gossip and teasing!  So keep me in mind for your tweens party and I promise not to dress up!

My First Tea Party

The worst part of this job is I can't take pictures.  I wish all of you could have seen the beautifully set princess table with a pink table cloth, a quilted table runner, 11 china tea cups and saucers, a silver two tiered platter with pink and white princess treats, a purple sugar bowl, flowered tea pot and 11 perfectly dressed princesses all sipping pink princess tea.  It was simply marvelous!  The pink play dough topped off the tea party before we made princess necklaces and painted nails.  Overall it was a whirled wind two hours full of excitement, hugs and smiles.
I received this email from the birthday girl's Mom
"Thank you so much for being a part of my daughters bday! Take care and again fabulous job!!"  Karen

M's Birthday Party

I actually had a party today, I am just a little behind in my blogging.  A facebook friend / friend from high school contacted me a few weeks ago inquiry about  Princess Kim attending her daughter's four year old party.  The plan was to do a craft and paint nails however as we know not all children follow plans .... I had a great time dancing with the girls, jumping in the bouncy castle and being a M's royal servant however trying to get the children to sit down for a craft was providing challenging so we ate cake instead. I quickly polished same nails before all the girls headed outside to the bouncy castle.  M was adorable and bossy, a true princess, she complimented me on my hat and sparkles, she asked lots of questions.  She wanted to know what was on my shoulder (a tattoo) I told her a dragon bit me, she was very satisfied! I truly love attending parties the kids give me so much energy and tons of stories to tell.  Hopefully Alex will send me some pictures to post.

Noor's Party

It was a slow start to the summer but I received a phone call  a few weeks ago from a lady asking if I was available the next night.  I told her I normally require more notice than one day.  The lady then proceeded to tell me it was for her daughter that was turning five tomorrow, she has leukaemia and the hospital was letting her out for her birthday party.  I turned to Neil to ask what I should do and he said "how can you not go".  So the next night I headed out not really knowing what to expect and loaded with games for ten children aging from 2-10.  The family was from India and all 25 people where dressed so beautifully I actually felt underdressed.  The birthday girl looked at me and said "are you a real Barbie".  She was so infatuated with me she didn't let go of my hand for the next hour.  This was my first non-spa party and wow was it fun.  We danced, played royal messenger,  musical magic carpet, dance party freeze and mermaid race all in a 200 square foot room.  The children all piled on top of me before I left thanked me for coming and the birthday girl looked at me with her big brown eyes and said "I love you Princess Kim".  This was truly a magically moment.

MacKenzie's 7th Birthday Party

Wow I had such a great time a MacKenzie's 7th Birthday Party.  We started out will a craft, colouring and then the girls drew me some great butterfly pictures to take home.  Then we moved on to finger nails, make-up and toe nails.  The girls loved my new crackle nail polish, you brush the silver  crackle polish on the dry nails and it makes a silver leaf effect on the nails.  My new nail pen was awesome, the girls could choose any colour they want for the flowers, red and purple we definitely the favourite of the party.   Thank you MacKenzie for having Princess Kim at your Party!
Quote from the birthday girl's mom "Thank you so much for coming, you did an awesome job and your rates are so reasonable."

Fantastic Party for Jessica

On Saturday I had the privilege of attending Jessica's 6th Birthday Party.  The girls had so much fun painting nails, eating chocolate facials off their faces, soaking their feet while reading magazines and everyone got their toenails painted.
They even had time to draw some fantastic pictures of Princess Kim.  Jessica told me "it was the best birthday party I ever had".
Thanks to Jessica's wonderful mom the girls enjoyed snacks while their nails dried and ate cake while I painted their toenails.  After this party I really hope she had a great Mother's Day.

Although the girls enjoyed the taste of the chocolate, oatmeal, banana facials I am finding that young girls really do not like the feel of facials on their faces, I really am going to encourage moms to make time for make-up applications instead, the children love the results so much more, at this young age they just don't appreciate soft skin as much as eye shadow ;)

Just a reminder please ensure all nail polish is removed before Princess Kim arrives this mean more time for fun!

1 hour Princess Spa Party for 5 year olds

I had a great time yesterday attending Kayla's 5th Birthday Party, the little princesses were so well behaved.  After presenting all the girls with tiara's, we started out by coloring princess pictures while I started the manicures.   All of the princesses wanted flowers and sparkles!
We had a little time left over so I did their make-up they all felt so beautiful.  There was even time for pictures with Princess Kim before she departed.  The one hour worked out great!
The mother of the party sent me the following email:
" Thanks again for coming the girls really enjoyed it and I was able to relax a little during that hour"

Party at a daycare

I had another party on Friday with 8 little girls rangeing in age from 3 to 10. They were all so thrilled to meet a real princess and had lots of questions about my castle and horses. I presented each little princess with their own tiara they were all beaming. They also wanted to know if I could dance so I took turns dancing with everyone. We painted nails, colored princess pictures; some of the girls even drew portraits of me. The party was only a hour so we quickly ran out of time, but I stayed a little longer to play a game of "kiss the frog". All the girls were sad I had to leave so we had a group picture so they would always remember Princess Kim.

Princess Party for 6- 8 year olds!

I had my first princess party tonight, what a blast!   The first 20 minutes I was drilled, they had to make sure I was a real princess after all.  After they all were thoroughly convinced, we started with white chocolate facials and cucumber eye pads, the kids loved the smell  of the facial and had a good laugh at each other about "cucumber eyes".  Wiping off the facial was a whole other story, must invest in some disposable wash cloths.   The birthday girl put make-up on all her guest while I started the manicures, the kept the children entertained really well, you can never wear enough blue eye shadow!  Bright blue seemed to be the colour of choice and everyone wanted painted hearts on their nails.  The children drew a beautiful picture of me in my dress and wrote "we love princess Kim" and "we believe in princesses" very lovely.  After hugs all around I exited feeling so special that I made a little girls birthday party so memorable.
